His Excellency President George Manneh Weah has sent a condolence message to His Excellency, Mr. Patrice Guillaume Athanase Talon, President of the Republic of Benin following the death of Former ECOWAS President Mr. Marcel de Souza.

In the message to His Excellency Patrice Guillaume Athanase Talon, President of the Republic of Benin, President George Manneh Weah on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia extended deep regret for the irreparable loss sustained.

The Liberian leader stated “Mr. Souza will be remembered for the reform initiatives of ECOWAS under his leadership, and for his contribution to development within the sub-region.”

He then hope that his Excellency Patrice Guillaume Athanase Talon and the people of Benin will find strengthen, courage and fortitude as they endure this difficult period of mourning.

Mr. Marcel de Souza was Born on 30 October 1953 in Pobe, and the sad event of his death occurred in Paris, France on 17 July 2019
