President Weah Extols France on 230th National Day Observance

President George Manneh Weah has sent a congratulatory message to the Government and people of the Republic of France on the joyous occasion commemorating the 230th National Day of France Bastille Day.

 

 

According to a Foreign Ministry release, in the message to French President Emmanuel Macron President George Manneh Weah, on behalf of Liberia, extended fraternal salutations and heartfelt congratulations to the French leader, and through him, to the Government and people of the Republic of France as they commemorate this historic landmark.   

 

 

President Weah further  recalled, with admiration and elation, the significance of Bastille Day in impelling humanity to fight, march, and walk for the lofty and noble ideals of Liberty, Equality and Fraternity across the world.

 

 

The Liberian leader particularly expressed confidence that under his administration, the relations between France and Liberia will remain cordial. He recalled that France’sgenerous support to his government is going a long way in empowering the country in the areas of agriculture, sports and vocational education.

 

 

The Liberian President then hoped that the relations between Liberia and France will be expanded to encompass people to people collaboration especially in the fields of health, science and technology.  

 

 

He then wished President Emmanuel Macron continued good health and wisdom as he leads his people to renewed happiness and sustained prosperity.
