President George Manneh Weah has congratulated the Government and people of the Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe on the occasion marking the 44^th Independence Anniversary of that country.   

In the message to His Excellency Manuel Pinto da Costa, President of the Democratic Republic of Sao Tome Principe, President George Manneh Weah on behalf of Liberia conveyed warmest congratulations and best wishes to the Government and people of the Democracy Republic of Sao Tome and Principe as they observe this historic milestone.

According to a Foreign Ministry release, he noted that as the people of Sao Tome and Principe celebrate this historic event, it is his fervent prayer that the relations between the two countries will be further strengthened for the mutual benefits of both countries and peoples.

The Liberian leader then prayed that the Almighty God will continue to endow President Pinto da Costa with manifold blessings as he leads his compatriots to greater prosperity.
