President Sirleaf Consoles Egypt on the Death of 66 Passengers on EgyptAir MS804

President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has sent a message of condolence to the Government and people of the Arab Republic of Egypt, following the unfortunate news of the crash of EgyptAir Flight MS804, leaving 66 persons dead.

 

EgyptAir MS804 was en route from Paris, France to Cairo, Egypt with 66 passengers and crew when it crashed early on Thursday, May 19, 2016 in the Mediterranean. Debris has been discovered about 290 km (180 miles) north of Alexandria.

 

According to a Foreign Ministry release, President Sirleaf, in her message to His Excellency Mr. Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, extended on behalf of the Government and people of Liberia and in her own name, heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of the Egypt especially the bereaved families for the irreparable loss sustained.

 

The Liberian leader further prayed that as the Government and people of the Arab Republic of Egypt go through this period of National mourning, the Almighty Allah will grant His Excellency and the people of the Arab Republic of Egypt strength, courage and fortitude.
