The President of the Republic of Liberia, Her Excellency, Madam Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, has sent a message of congratulations to the Government and People of the Republic of Togo on the occasion marking the 55thIndependence Day of that Country.

 
In the message to the Togolese President, His Excellency Mr.Faure Essozimna Gnassingbe, President Sirleaf extended sincere felicitations to the Government and People of Togo on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia and in her own name.

 
The Liberian Leader entertained the hope that as the two countries work together to strengthen ties, friendship and cooperation, she prayed that Almighty God will continue to endow President Gnassingbe with wisdom and strength to lead his compatriots to greater prosperity as the Liberia and Togo work together in the spirit of the economic community of West African states (ECOWAS), the African Union (AU), and the United Nations (UN) aimed at fostering peace, security and economic integration.

 
President Sirleaf prayed that God Almighty will endow President Gnassingbe with abundant wisdom and strength as he leads the people of Togo to greater prosperity.
