President Sirleaf Congratulates Queen Marqrethe II On 75th Birth Anniversary

The President of the Republic of Liberia, Her Excellency Mrs. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has sent a congratulatory message to Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II, Queen of the Kingdom of Denmark, on the occasion marking the Seventy-fifth Birth Anniversary of Her Majesty on April 16, 2015.

 

In her message to Her Majesty, Queen Margrethe II, President Johnson Sirleaf conveyed warmest felicitations and sincere best wishes to the Queen, Government and People of Denmark, on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia and in her own name, as the Danish people observe this historic event.

According to a Foreign Ministry release, President Johnson Sirleaf observed with deep appreciation that both countries have continued to enjoy excellent friendship cultivated more than a century and a half ago.

 

"Today, our bilateral partnership, as well as our shared perspectives on multilateral and international issues signify our determination to enhance the already cordial ties subsisting between the peoples of Denmark and Liberia," President Johnson Sirleaf stated.

 

The Liberian leader expressed gratitude to Denmark for the support towards the fight against the Ebola Virus in West Africa and Liberia's development programs. President Johnson Sirleaf also expressed confidence, that the Kingdom of Denmark is recovering well after the terror attacks in Copenhagen in last February.

 

President Johnson Sirleaf then assured Queen Margrethe II of Liberia's commitment to working with Denmark for the attainment of global peace and prosperity, as both countries seek renewed and more areas of positive collaboration aimed at solidifying their relations for the mutual benefits of their respective people.
