President Sirleaf Consoles The Netherlands On National Tragedy
The President of the Republic of Liberia, Her Excellency Mrs. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has sent a message of Condolence to the Government and People of the Netherlands for the tragic loss of lives involving 193 Dutch Citizens owing to the recent Malaysian plane crash, in Ukraine.
In her message to His Majesty Willem-Alexander, King of the Netherlands, the Liberia President, on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia, extended deepest condolences to His Majesty, the bereaved families and the Government and People of the Netherlands for the tragic loss sustained.
“This is just not an irreparable loss to the Netherland but to the world as a whole; your country over the years, has contributed meaningfully to the growth and development of the world” President Sirleaf recalled.
The Liberian leader particularly recounted the Netherlands’ commitment to the concerted efforts geared towards the maintenance of global peace and security.
President Johnson Sirleaf, assured the Dutch leader of Liberia’s deepest prayers and sincere thought to all those affected by this calamity especially to the grief stricken families.
President Sirleaf then wished that God will grant the people of the Netherlands strength and fortitude to confront this troubling time in their national existence.
