President George Manneh Weah has on behalf of the Government and people of the Republic of Liberia and in his own name expressed immense pleasure and extended warmest congratulations and best wishes to His Excellency Roch Marc Christian Kaboré, President of the Republic of Burkina Faso on the occasion of his re-election as President of that West African country.

According to a Foreign Ministry release, President Weah noted thatPresident Kaboré re-election is a testament of the trust and confidence his people reposed in him.

The Liberian leader also stated that as his counterpart assume the noble task of shaping the future of his country, he entertain hope that the cordial ties of friendship and cooperation subsisting between both countries and peoples will be further strengthened in the spirit of African solidarity and the furtherance of the principles and core values of the African Union, ECOWAS, and the United Nations. 

He then prayed that the Almighty God will continue to endow His Excellency with increased wisdom and resilience to lead the people of Burkina Faso to continue prosperity and happiness.
