President Weah Applauds Cote d'Ivoire On 59th Independence Observance

President George Manneh Weah has, on behalf of the Government and people of Liberia, congratulated the Government and people of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire on the occasion commemorating the 59th Independence Anniversary of that neighboring country.  

 

In the message to his Ivoirian counterpart, H. E. Alassane Ouattara, President George Manneh Weah extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Government and people of Côte d’Ivoire. 

 

According to a Foreign Ministry release, the Liberian leader expressed hope that as Cote d’Ivoire commemorates this historic event, the cordial ties of friendship and cooperation subsisting between the two countries and peoples will be strengthened as they work together in furtherance of the principles of the Mano River Union, ECOWAS and the African Union.    

 

The Liberian leader then prayed that the Almighty God will continue to endow President Ouattara with increased wisdom and strength as he leads the people of Côte d’Ivoire to greater prosperity and continued happiness.
