President Sirleaf Salutes Burkina Faso
The President of the Republic of Liberia, Her Excellency Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf over the weekend sent a message of congratulations to the Government and People of the Republic of Burkina Faso on the occasion marking the 52nd Independence Anniversary of that sisterly Republic.
The West African state of Burkina Faso celebrates its 52nd independence anniversary on Sunday, August 5, 2012.
In her message, President Johnson Sirleaf on behalf of Liberia extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Government and People of Burkina Faso as the country celebrates this joyous occasion.
Expressing happiness over the event, President Johnson Sirleaf noted with confidence that as Burkina Faso observes yet another milestone in its National History, the bond of friendship subsisting between both countries will be further expanded to the benefit of the two Governments and Peoples.
The Liberian leader further prayed that the Almighty God continues to shower President Blaise Campaore with abundant wisdom and continued good health as he steers the affairs of his people to greater prosperity, endeavoring to contain the flames of conflict, not only in the West African sub-region but in Africa as a whole in his mediatory missions.
