The President of the Republic of Liberia, Her Excellency Mrs. Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf says the resounding victory achieved by the Congress Party of the Republic of India at the recent poll, demonstrates the confidence and trust the people of that country repose in the Prime Minister elect, His Excellency, Mr. Manmohan Singh ability to steer the affairs of state.
In her Message of Congratulations to the Prime Minister elect, on the occasion marking his inauguration as Prime Minister of that sisterly country, the Liberian leader extended heartfelt congratulations and sincere best wishes to the His Excellency Singh, and through him, to members of the Congress Party on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia and in her own name.
President Johnson-Sirleaf further assure the newly elected Prime Minister of her government firm support to his leadership both countries work closely for the full realization of the lofty-goal of South-South Cooperation, the  objective of the non-aligned movement and the attainment of a new World International order of Justice, Equality and Peace.
The Liberian leader further expressed optimism that as Mr. Singh is indicted and assumes the mantle of leadership in India, the brotherly and good relationship subsisting between the two Governments and peoples will be further strengthened for the achievement of greater bilateral cooperation.
