President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has sent a message of condolence to the Government and People of the Republic of Turkey on the occasion of the Suruc Suicide Bombing.

In her message to His Excellency Mr. Recep Toyyip Erdoğan, President of Turkey, President Sirleaf expressed regret at the news of a suicide bombing attack on a cultural center in the Turkish town of Suruc near the Syrian border, killing at least 30 individuals and wounding more than 100 others.

 “We are very saddened for the loss of your beloved compatriots. I send out deepest condolences to you personally and the Turkish people, on behalf of the government and people of the Republic of Liberia and in my own name, as we imagine how painful it is for you”.

She then prayed that God provide him the strength and courage he needs in order to go through this difficult period.
