The President of the Republic of Liberia Her Excellency Mrs. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has sent a message of condolence to the Government and People of the People’s Republic of China on the unfortunate news of a stampede that occurred in Shanghai, during the New Year celebration killing thirty six (36) people and injuring forty seven (47) others.

In her message to the Chinese President H.E. Xi   Jinping ,   President Johnson Sirleaf   expressed hope that China will gather the strength and fortitude for which the Chinese are known to go trough this period of National tragedy.
