President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has extended her warmest congratulations and best wishes to Her Excellency Mrs Angela Merkel   on her re-election as Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany.   

In her message to the German chancellor, President Johnson   Sirleaf   on behalf of Liberia extended sincere best wishes to Mrs.  Merkel and stated that her overwhelming re-election by the German people  is a testimony of her distinguished  leadership qualities and the extraordinary trust and confidence the industrious people of Germany have in her ability to lead them.

President Johnson Sirleaf recalled with deep respect that in the midst of global challenges, Germany under the stewardship of Chancellor Angela Merkel has continued to provide the engine of growth and stability for Europe, adding that the German chancellor has played a critical role in addressing World Financial crises.

While expressing appreciation to the European Nation, the Liberian leader also acknowledged that in spite of the global economic crises, Germany has remained a true partner in progress for Liberia, and its   assistance continues to respond to the critical needs in the Liberia recovery and development programs.

She expressed confidence that Liberian-German relations will be increasingly enriched and deepened as the two countries collaborate for the promotion of peace and prosperity for all mankind.

The Liberian President then wished for the German Chancellor personal well-being and for the Government and People of Germany continued peace, sustained prosperity and happiness.
