President Sirleaf Congratulates Austria on its National Day
President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has congratulated the Government and People of the Federal Republic of Austria on the occasion commemorating the National Day of that country.
A Foreign Ministry release says the Federal Republic of Austria will observe its National Day on October 26, 2012. Austria’s National Day is the Day a Constitutional Law of perpetual Austrian neutrality was enacted.
In her Message to Dr. Heinz Fischer, President of the Federal Republic of Austria, President Johnson Sirleaf, on behalf of Liberia, extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Government and People of Austria on the celebration of this historic event.
President Johnson Sirleaf recalled, with mutual respect, Austria’s meaningful contributions and immense endeavor in fostering global peace and security especially through the United Nations.
The Liberian leader further expressed optimism that Austria and Liberia will collaboratively explore areas of bilateral cooperation for the mutual benefits of their respective peoples.
President Johnson Sirleaf also wished for President Heinz Fischer personal well- being and good health. She then noted that as her government envisage a more cordial and renewed relationship with the government of Austria, the people of that country will continue to enjoy peace, unity, and prosperity.
