The President of the Republic of Liberia, Her Excellency, Mrs.  Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, has sent a Message of Congratulations to the President, Government and People of Russian Federation on the auspicious occasion marking the Observance of that country National Day.

In the message to her Russian counterpart, His Excellency Dmitry Medvedev, President Johnson-Sirleaf extended warmest congratulations and fraternal felicitation on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia and in her own name.

President Johnson-Sirleaf  said as the gallant people of Russia commemorate the unique and historic occasion , it is her prevent hope that the cordial ties which so happily subsist between Liberia and the  Russian Federation will be further cemented as both countries identify new areas of bilateral  cooperation.

The Liberian leader then wished the Russian President good health, long life and happiness as the people of Russia enjoy the blessings of peace, unity and prosperity under his leadership.
