President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has sent a congratulatory message to the Government and People of the Kingdom of Belgium on the joyous occasion of national pride, commemorating the Formal establishment of the Independence of the Kingdom of Belgium, as well the 181st Anniversary of the crowning of King Leopold, I of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha.

A Foreign Ministry release says in her message to His Majesty Albert, II, King of the Belgians, President Johnson Sirleaf extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes on behalf of the people of Liberia to the people of Belgium on this auspicious occasion.

The Liberian leader expressed confidence that under the brilliant leadership of King Albert, II, the long standing and cordial relations subsisting between Liberia and Belgium will grow from strength to strength to the mutual benefits of both nations.

President Johnson Sirleaf wished for King Albert, II personal well-being and prayed that the people of Belgium enjoyed continued blessing of peace, unity and increased economic growth.
