The President of the Republic of Liberia, His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has sent a condolence message to his counterpart, the President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama on the passing of Madam Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, Former First Lady of the Republic of Ghana.

According to a Foreign Ministry release, in his message to His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, President Boakai, on behalf of the Government and people of Liberia, and in his own name, extended to him, and through him to the Government and people of Ghana, profound condolences on the sad passing of the Former First Lady of Ghana.

He recounted her exemplary leadership, her tireless dedication, and advocacy for the advancement of women’s empowerment in Ghana. Adding that her vision and commitment to the welfare of her people have left an indelible mark, not only on her country, but also across West Africa. 

“Liberia recalls with deep appreciation the cordial relationship it fostered between nations throughout West Africa”, President Boakai noted.

President Boakai further noted that Liberia stands with His Excellency President Mahama and the people of Ghana in mourning the loss of such a remarkable stateswoman.
