President Boakai Congratulates Angola, Poland on National Independence Anniversaries
The President of the Republic of Liberia, His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has sent two separate congratulatory messages to the Governments and Peoples of the Republics of Angola and Poland on their respective occasions commemorating the respective Independence Anniversaries of those countries on November 11, 2024. According to a Foreign Ministry release, in his message to his Angolan counterpart, His Excellency Mr. João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, President Boakai on behalf of Government and people of the Republic of Liberia and in his own name, extended sincere felicitations to the Government and People of Angola as they celebrate their 49th Independence anniversary.
The Liberian leader stressed that the day is a testament to the strength, resilience and unwavering determination of the people of Angola in their pursuit of sovereignty, peace and prosperity. “As you commemorate this significant day, Liberia applauds Angola’s remarkable strides under your distinguished leadership toward national development and regional stability, which have contributed meaningfully to advancing our shared vision for Africa”, President Boakai stated. He expressed hope that the cordial ties of friendship and cooperation existing between the two countries and peoples will be strengthened in the spirit of African solidarity they we work together in furtherance of deeper cooperation at the African Union, United Nations, and other international organizations aimed at promoting international peace and security among all nations. President Boakai then prayed that the Almighty will endowed you with abundant wisdom and strength as you lead your people to noble heights.
At the same time, President Boakai in his congratulatory message to His Excellency Mr. Andrzej Duda, President of the Republic of Poland, extended warm congratulations to the Government and People of Poland on the occasion marking Poland’s National Day. Referencing the longstanding cordial relations subsisting between the two nations and peoples, President Boakai then remarked that it is his ardent prayers that the friendship will continue to grow from strength to strength for the benefits of the two Governments and peoples. President Boakai also added that his administration looks forward to enhancing cooperation between the two countries specifically in the areas of agriculture, health, education, tourism and sanitation. He then extended his sincere best wishes for President Duda personal well-being, and continued peace and prosperity of his family, as well as for the people of Poland.
