The President of the Republic of Liberia, Her Excellency Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has sent a message of condolence to the Government and People of the Democratic Republic of Congo following the tragic plane crash in Bukavu which resulted in the death of among others, a senior member of the Congolese Government.

According to a Foreign Ministry release, President Johnson Sirleaf extended heartfelt condolences to His Excellency, Mr. Joseph Kabila, and through him to the Government and People of the Democratic Republic of Congo, especially the bereaved families for the irreparable loss sustained.

President Johnson Sirleaf further prayed that the Almighty God will grant them solace during the period of national mourning.
