Chinese Foreign Minister Pays Official Visit to Liberia
The Foreign Minister of the People's Republic of China, His Excellency Wang Yi at the head of a 9-member delegation will arrive in Liberia on Saturday evening, August 8, 2015 for a two -day official visit.
Mr. Wang Yi is being accompanied by Ambassador Lin Songtian, Director-General, Department of African Affairs.
While in Liberia, the Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will hold separate meetings with President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, and Foreign Minister Ngafuan, on further strengthening the bilateral relationship between the two countries and exchange views on the bilateral cooperation in post-Ebola recovery era.
According to a Foreign Ministry release, the Chinese delegation will also hold bilateral meeting with President Johnson Sirleaf and other high-level Government officials, including the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Finance and Development Planning, National Defense, Justice, Health and Social welfare, Education, State for Presidential Affairs and the Acting Minister of Internal Affairs among others.
The meetings will be followed by a Press Stakeout in the Foyer of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs between the Foreign Minister of China and Liberia's Foreign Minister.
