President Johnson- Sirleaf Commissioned Several Officials of Government
The President of the Republic of Liberia, Her Excellency Mrs. Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, on Thursday, August 28, 2008, commissioned several officials of Government. The ceremony took place at the C. Cecil Dennis, Jr. Auditorium at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Those commissioned represent 13 Government Ministries and Agencies, with six coming from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; four from the Ministry of Transport and three each from the Ministries of Youth & Sports, and Health & Social Welfare, respectively.
Also, two officials each came from the Ministries of Defense, and Agriculture while the Ministries of Internal Affairs, Finance, Public Works and Labour have one official each being commissioned by the President.
Twelve of officials commissioned were Deputy Ministers, 12 Assistant Ministers, one Ambassador and the Comptroller General at the Ministry of Finance. The Commissioner of the Bureau of Maritime, Hon. Beyan Kesselly was also commissioned.
Those commissioned by the President on august 28th include Honourable Johnson N. Gwaikolo, Deputy Minister for Administration, Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Hon. Robert Lormia, Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Hon. Simeon B. Cole, Assistant Minister for European Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Hon. Marcus Kofa, Assistant Minister for American Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Honourable Josephus Moses Gray, Assistant Minister for Public Affairs and Honourable B. Elias Shoniyin, Assistant Minister for International Cooperation and Economic Affairs, Ministry of foreign Affairs.
Others were Hon. Othello Daniel Warrick, Deputy Minister for Administration, Ministry of National Defense; Hon. Dionysius D. Sebwe, Deputy Minister for Operation, Ministry of National Defense; Hon. Edwin K. Tetteh, Deputy Minister for Administration, Ministry of Youth & Agriculture; Honourable Sam Hare, Jr., Deputy Minister for Youth Services, Ministry of Youth & Sports; Honourable Nya D. Twayen, Assistant Minister for Youth Services, Ministry of Youth & Sports; Honourable Dr. S. Mohammed Sheriff, Deputy Minister for Administration, Ministry of Transport; Honourable Cllr. Edward K. Goba, Deputy Minister for Land & Rail, Ministry of Transport; Honourable Augustine W. Williams, Assistant Minister for Administration, Ministry of Transport, and Honourable Wilmot J.M. Paye, Assistant Minister for Land & Rail, Ministry of Transport.
Others include Honourable Vivian J.
