High Power Nigerian Government Delegation Arrives in April

A high-powered Nigerian Government delegation headed by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Ambassador Bagudu M. Hirse, is expected in the country on Wednesday, April 1, 2009, to hold bilateral discussions with the Liberian Government.


The disclosure was made on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at the Foreign Ministry in Monrovia during a preparatory meeting held between Foreign Minister, Her Excellency Olubanke King-Akerele and His Excellency, Ebenezer Ayodele Adigun, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Liberia.


According to a Foreign Ministry release, during the discussion, Liberia and Nigeria are expected to sign a Memorandum of Understanding for Technical Manpower Assistance between the two countries.


Members of the Nigerian Government delegation expected here include: His Excellency, Amb. Joe Keshi, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of State for Foreign Affairs; H.E. Amb. Eineje Onobu, former Nigerian Ambassador to Liberia, and Amb. M.M. Daura, Director/CEO Technical Aid Corporation respectively.


 Other officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and representatives of the Nigerian media are also expected.


The signing ceremony will take place on Thursday, April 2, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
