President Sirleaf Applauds Ethiopian President And Prime Minister Of Luxembourg

President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has sent two separate messages of congratulations to President Mulatu Teshhome of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and Prime Minister Jean-Claude Juncker of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg on their ascendency to the Offices of President and Prime Minister of the two countries respectively.   

In her message to her Ethiopian counterpart, President Sirleaf on behalf of Liberia extended warmest congratulations to  President  Teshhome, acknowledging that the Ethiopian Leader’s  achievement shows the confidence the People of Ethiopia have in his ability to lead that East African nation.

A Foreign Ministry release says President Sirleaf also added that Liberia looks forward to further strengthening the bilateral relations between Liberia and Ethiopia and closely collaborating on the implementation of the objectives of the African Union (AU).

At the same time, President Sirleaf on behalf the Government of Liberia conveyed warmest congratulations and personal best wishes to Prime Minister Juncker of Luxembourg for his re-election for the fifth time.

The President, in her congratulatory message to the Prime Minister of Luxembourg, asserted that his re-election is a strong indication of the eminent leadership quality and the immense trust and confidence the people of Luxembourg have in his ability to steer the affairs of that European country.

President Johnson Sirleaf said as a long serving Head of State of any European nation and former President of the Euro-Group from the creation of the semi-permanent position in 2005 until 2013, Prime Minister Juncker once again brings along to the high office a wealth of vast political and administrative experiences.
