The President of the Republic of Liberia, Her Excellency, Madam Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, has sent a message of congratulations to the King and People of the Kingdom of Belgium on the auspicious occasion marking the Kingdom of Belgium National Day.

In the message sent over to His Majesty King Albert, II of Belgium, President Johnson-Sirleaf conveyed heartiest congratulations and sincerest best wishes on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia, and in her own name to the Kingdom of Belgium, and expressed the hope that as the people of Belgium celebrate yet another milestone in their National History, the long standing relations subsisting between Liberia and the Kingdom of Belgium will be further strengthened and cemented in the years ahead as both countries fulfil their respective obligation in the realization of the aims and objectives.

The Liberian leader further observes with admiration the level of development that has characterized Belgium over the years and prayed that Almighty God will endow King Albert, II with wisdom and continued good health as he leads the people of Belgium to greater prosperity.
