President George Manneh Weah has sent a congratulatory message to the Government and People of the People’s Republic of China, on the joyous occasion commemorating the 72^nd   National Day of that country.

In his message to his Chinese counterpart, H. E. President XI Jinping, the Liberian leader, on behalf of Liberia, extended heartfelt felicitations and sincere best wishes to the Chinese leader, and through him, to the Government and people of China, as they commemorate this historic milestone. 

President George Manneh Weah further expressed confidence that as Liberia joins China in observance of this historic event, the bonds of friendship and cooperation so happily subsisting between Liberia and China, will increase from strength to strength.

He also added that the bilateral cooperation between China and Liberia has brought enormous Infrastructural and human development to Liberia.   

He then hoped and prayed that as both countries join the rest of the world in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, H.E. President XI Jinping will continue to be endowed with abundant wisdom and good health as he leads his compatriots to sustainable peace and greater prosperity.
