President Weah Applauds Pope Francis and the Vatican City State on 92nd National Day Observance

President George Manneh Weah has sent a message of congratulations to the Government and people of the Vatican City State on the joyous occasion marking the 92nd Anniversary of the National Day celebration of the Vatican City State.

 

President George Manneh Weah on behalf of the Government and people Liberia, and in his own name, extended hearty facilitations and best wishes to His Holiness Pope Francis, and through him, to the Government and people of the Vatican City State, the Apostolic Episcopal See of the Ex-Cathedra and the Universal Ecclesiastical jurisdiction of the World Catholic Church, following their 92nd National Day observance. 

 

According to a Foreign Ministry release, the Liberian leader further recalled that the partnership between Liberia and the Vatican has accrued enormous benefits, collaborating in major sectors including health and education. 

 

President Weah expressed confidence that as the people of the Vatican City States celebrate this memorable day, the ties of friendship that so happily subsists between the two nations will translate into greater mutual benefits for the two governments and peoples.   

 

The Liberian president also assured His Holiness Pope Francis of Liberia’s continual commitments to the two nations’ shared values toward the enhancement of human dignity and prosperity for all humankind.

 

 President George Manneh Weah then prayed that the Almighty God will continue to guide and protect the Vatican leader and allow the faithful people of the Vatican City State enjoy lasting peace and happiness.
