The President of the Republic of Liberia, Mrs. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has sent a message of condolence to the Government and People of the Republic of Indonesia, following the unfortunate news of a plane crash in the city of Medan, killing one hundred and forty-one (141) persons and injuring several others.

In the message to His Excellency Mr. Joko Widodo, President of the Republic of Indonesia, President Johnson Sirleaf extended heartfelt condolencesto the Government and People of Indonesia especially to the bereaved families for the irreparable loss sustained, on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia and in her own name.  

President Johnson Sirleaf further prayed that the Almighty Allah will continue to strengthen President Widodo and the People of Indonesia during this period of bereavement.
