The President of the Republic of Liberia, H.E. Mrs. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has sent a message of congratulations to the Government and People of the United States on the occasion commemorating the 238^th Independence Anniversary of that country on July 4, 2014.

In her message to US President Barack Obama, President Johnson Sirleaf extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Government and People of the United States as the US observes this historic event.

The Liberian Leader further recalled that the steady bilateral relationship and fruitful cooperation between Liberia and the United States in all fields are a source of immense satisfaction. 

President Johnson Sirleaf also asserted that her government looks forward to working closely with the Obama Administration aimed at strengthening the bond of friendship for a more just, peaceful and prosperous future in the interest of the two countries and Peoples.
