President Sirleaf Congratulates Africa’s Eastern & South Eastern Nations

President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has sent separate messages of congratulations to the Governments and Peoples of the Republics of Burundi, Rwanda, Somalia and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

 

The Eastern, and South Eastern nations celebrate their independence days between June 30 and July 1 respectively.

 

To Presidents Paul Kagame and Pierre Nkurunziza of Rwanda and Burundi respectively, President Sirleaf in her separate messages to her African counterparts, on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia, expressed warmest felicitations on the occasions of the 52nd Independence Anniversaries of the two Republics.

 

She also prayed that God will endow them with abundant wisdom and strength as they endeavor to improve prosperity for their respective Peoples and lead them to brighter future.

 

As the Democratic Republic of Congo and Somalia also observe their 54th and 50th Independence Anniversaries respectively, the Liberian Leader, on behalf of her Government and People, also extended warmest congratulations to Presidents Joseph Kabila and Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of both countries respectively. She then hoped that the cordial ties existing between Liberia and the two countries will continue.
