President Johnson-Sirleaf Consoles Italy

President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf has sent a Message of Condolence to President Giorgio Napolitano, Government and People of the Republic of Italy for sad news of the tragic train accident which left 13 persons dead and 36 others injured in Tuscan Viareggio, North of Italy.

According to a Foreign Ministry release,  in the Message to Her Italian counterpart, President Johnson-Sirleaf extended heartfelt condolences His Excellency Giorgio Napolitano, and through him, to the Government and People of Italy, particularly the bereaved family on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia.    

The Liberian leaders then expressed regret over the irreparable loss sustained by that sisterly country, and prayed that the Almighty God will grant President Giorgio Napolitano and the People of Italy comfort and solace during this period of National mourning.
