President Johnson Sirleaf Congratulates Lebanon on 68th Independence Anniversary
MONROVIA, MONDAY, NOVEMBER 21st, 2011: The President of the Republic of Liberia, Her Excellency Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has congratulated the Government and People of the Republic of Lebanon on the occasion marking the 68th Independence Anniversary of that country.
According to a Foreign Ministry release, President Johnson Sirleaf, in her message to her Lebanese counterpart, His Excellency Michael Suleiman, conveyed deepest congratulations and expressed hope that Liberia and Lebanon will continue to work together for the realization of south-south cooperation as the two countries tackle and eradicate the many threats of conflict and terrorism which have the propensity to undermine and impede political, economic, social and development progress.
The Liberian leader also prayed that the Almighty God will continue to grant President Suleiman good health as he leads the People of Lebanon to national unity, cohesion, and improvement in the quality of life of the people of that country.
