President Johnson Sirleaf Congratulates France

The President of the Republic of Liberia, Her Excellency Mrs. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has sent a Congratulatory Message to the Government and People of the Republic of France on the occasion commemorating the 221st Anniversary of the National Day of that great country.

In the message to Her French counterpart, His Excellency Nicholas Sorkozy, President of the Republic of France, the Liberian leader expressed heartfelt congratulations and sincerest best wishes to President Sorkozy, and through him, to the Government and People of the France on behalf of the Government and People of the Republic of Liberia and in her own name.

According to a Foreign Ministry release, President Johnson Sirleaf discloses that the National Day of France reaffirms the country commitment to the noble ideals of liberty, equality, and fraternity.

President Johnson Sirleaf further noted that since the ascendancy of Mr. Sorkozy to the Presidency, the relations between Liberia and France have continued to be strengthened to the mutual benefits of the two countries.

The Liberian leader then prayed that the Almighty God will continue to grant President Sorkozy good health and happiness and that the People of the France will continue to live in peace, unity and prosperity.
