President  Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf on Friday, September 30, 2010 sent a Message of Condolence to the President, Government and People of Argentina following the death of Mr. Nestor Kirchner, Former President of the Republic of Argentina.


According to a release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, President Johnson Sirleaf extended deepest condolences to Her Excellency Madam Christina Fernandez de Kirchner, for the sudden death of her husband, which she noted will forever be remembered as one of the most influential leaders in the history of Argentina.


President Johnson Sirleaf also expressed deepest condolences to the entire Government and People of Argentina, particularly the bereaved family, on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia, and in her own name.


President Johnson Sirleaf further said the sudden passing of former President Kirchner has created a vacuum within the Argentine political scene. The Liberia leader described the former president as a peerless advocate of social justice for all Argentines.


The Liberian leader then prayed that the Almighty God will grant solace and consolation to the Argentinean President and members of the bereaved family during this period of national mourning.
