Nigerian Ambassador-Designate to Liberia Chigozie F. Obi-Nnadozie, will officially present her Letters of Credence to President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf on Wednesday.

The new Nigerian Ambassador is expected to present her Letters of Credence at a ceremony to be held at the Foreign Ministry office of President Sirleaf at 11:00am.

According to a Foreign Ministry release, the presentation of the Letters of Credence followed an initial preparatory meeting on Monday with Foreign Minister Augustine Kpehe Ngafuan.
Ambassador Designate Obi-Nnadozie is the first woman to be named Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Liberia since the two countries established diplomatic relations over five decades ago.

The Nigerian Ambassador designate replaces former Nigerian Ambassador Ebenezer Adigun.
Ambassador Designate Obi-Nnadozie comes to her new position with more than two decades of experience in the Nigerian Foreign Service.

She last served as Director/Head of the Global Institutions Division, Department of International Organization; Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nigeria. Ambassador Obi-Nnadozie also served as Director of the North and Central American Division at the Nigerian Foreign Ministry.
The new Nigerian Ambassador holds a Master of Arts Degree in Government and Politics from the St.Johnís University in the USA.
