President Weah Extols Canada on 152nd Independence Celebration

President George Manneh Weah during the week sent a Congratulatory Message to the Right Honorable Julie Payette, Governor-General of Canada on the occasion marking the 152nd Independence Anniversary of that country.


According to a Foreign Ministry release, President George Manneh Weah, on behalf of Liberia, extended heartfelt felicitations and best wishes to the Government and people of Canada as they commemorate this historic milestone.


“As you celebrate this milestone, you can be assured of the appreciation of the people of Liberia for the historic bond of corporation and friendship subsisting between our two countries;” the Liberian leader declared.


President Weah also stressed that the relationship between Liberia and Canada presents an opportunity for exchanges on efforts to further deepen future bilateral ties in many spheres.


The Liberian President then hoped and prayed that the people of Canada will continue to enjoy the blessings of peace, prosperity and unity.
