The President of the Republic of Liberia, Her Excellency Mrs. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has expressed optimism that the bond of friendship, and sisterly relations, so happily subsisting between Liberia and the Republic of India will continue to be cemented in the years ahead.
President Johnson Sirleaf made the statement in her Congratulatory Message to Her Indian counterpart, Her Excellency Mrs. Devisingh Patil, Government and People of the Republic of India on the auspicious celebrations of the 63rd Independence Anniversary of that great country.
Meanwhile, President Johnson Sirleaf has congratulated the President of the Republic of Rwanda, Mr. Paul Kagame, on the joyous occasion marking his re-election as president of that great country.
In the Message to Her Rwandan counterpart, President Johnson-Sirleaf conveyed heartfelt congratulations and sincerest best wishes on behalf of the Government and People of Liberia and in her own name.
President Johnson-Sirleaf further that President Kagameís overwhelming victory at the recent elections demonstrate the confidence the people of Rwanda repose in his ability to progressively lead the country.
The Liberian leader also expressed confidence that the harmonious and cordial ties of friendship and cooperation subsisting between the two Governments and Peoples will continue to be expanded in the years ahead.
