Liberia, United Arab Emirates Sign Joint Communiqu?

The Government of the Republic of Liberia and the United Arab Emirates have signed a Joint Communiqu? to establish diplomatic relations.

The Charge dí Affaires at  Liberiaís  Permanent Mission to the United Nations, Ambassador Charles Minor, signed on behalf of the Government, while His Excellency, Ahmed Al-Jarman, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and United Arab Emiratesí Permanent Representative to the U.N. signed for his government.

The Communiqu? detailed that the decision is in pursuance of the mutual interests of the peoples of the two countries, guided by their willingness to develop and strengthen friendship and cooperation in political, economic, social, humanitarian and other fields in accordance with principles and norms enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations.

Both governments have expressed their mutual confidence in the importance of diplomatic and friendly relations and wished to work together in helping to consolidate international peace and security as well as peaceful co-existence.
