The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the arrival in Liberia of a three-man business delegation from Suadi Arabia, who are in the country to explore investment possibilities.

The delegation, headed by Mr. Mohammed S.H. Shama, and including Messrs Abdulrahman M. Deeb and Nageb Bakhos, disclosed its interest to invest in Liberia especially in the fishing and agricultural sectors and extractive industry.  The delegation made the disclosure of their interest to invest in Liberia during a meeting over the weekend with the Foreign Minister of Liberia, Hon. George W. Wallace, Jr., who received them in audience at his Foreign Ministry Offices.  The delegation was accompanied to the Foreign Ministry by Mr. Zaidan M. Sheriff, the Minister Counsellor and Head of Mission at the Liberian Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Welcoming the delegation, Foreign Minister Wallace apprised the delegation of Liberiaís vast natural resources, and the determination of the Liberian Government to harness these resources towards the socio-economic transformation and development of the country, and for the benefit of all Liberians.

Towards this end, the Government of Liberia, he said, has put in place various investment incentive codes to attract direct foreign investment in the country for the mutual benefit of both the country and the investors.

Disclosing their intension to do business in Liberia, the Head of Delegation informed the Foreign Minister that their business venture which has its base in Sadui Arabia, extends to several parts of the world including Asia, USA, Europe and Arab countries, which they are willing and ready to mobilize and put at Liberiaís disposal.
